Husnicioara landslide investigation
Students will make observations and write a report of a complex landslide which occurred in May 2016 and has destroyed the infrastructure in an area where under embankment are old mine galleries from Husnicioara Coal Mine (on a distance of 500-600 m has been a collapse with difference of up to 20 m and a horizontal landslide, affecting the entire platform of the road and adjoining land).

Part of Center of Environmental Reasearch and Impact Studies, University of Bucharest.
The Hermann's Tortoise is a protected species in our country, being threatened due to the decrease of the individuals’ number and the habitats’ destruction.

Ranger-guided hike on limestone plateau Ciucaru Mare from the Great Boilers.
Ciucaru Mare Hill (318 m) is the most representative form of relief with a vertical cliff which marks off the Danube river.
The ecotouristic route follows mountain paths that go through meadows and forests of oak or beech. From the belvedere points, made up of limestone rocks, we can admire the Great Gorges and Veliki Strbac, on the Serbian side of the Danube.
Time: 2 h. Difficulty - easy.
